40 ways to relax at work

Back read MYB today...

40 ways to relax
Now that you know that constant stress will do you no good - perhaps even aggravate the situation and make you feel physically sick and depressed - your only option is to hang loose.
If you are too preoccupied with your current situation to figure out how to do this, take these 40 tips from medical professionals Mind Your Body consulted.

They give advice on how to unwind, lessen physical strain and mental stress and tell you how you can relax. Ms Sanveen Kang, a clinical psychologist at the Institute of Mental Health, said: 'Never dismiss stress; instead, learn to cope and tackle the problems one by one.' Her other tips:

  1. Seek help. Talk to a friend, family member, co-worker, counsellor, psychologist or someone you trust.
  2. Focus on what you have accomplished and derive a sense of satisfaction from it.
  3. Do not dwell on work that is incomplete as it will only demoralise you.
  4. Do stretches in the office to relieve tension accumulated from sitting down for a long time.
  5. Exercise regularly. It helps with sleep problems and improves blood circulation and detoxification through perspiration. Exercise has been shown to release a chemical in the brain which induces the feeling of well-being and relaxation.
  6. Enrol in stress management talks, workshops and programmes.
  7. Go travelling with your loved ones as it can help you return with a fresh perspective on life.

Dr Gregory Chan, a senior occupational health physician at the National University of Singapore, said: 'Relaxing in the workplace is not only about things you can do but also an attitude with which you approach work.'
His other tips:
8. Draw up a list of items that you need to finish at work at the beginning of the day.
9. You can choose to be happy and positive at work. For example, smile more and respond positively to new assignments.
10. Focus on the job at hand. Cut the gossip and keep positive at work
11. Do not keep checking your e-mail every few minutes; it will distract you.
12. Make sure your work station is comfortable and adjusted to your personal needs.
The screen should be at eye level.
Adjust the chair so that your elbows rest comfortably on the chair and your feet are flat on the ground.
Do not sit on the edge of your chair.
Get some back support.
13. Keep your desk free of clutter and tidy up after work.
14. Avoid gossiping about others.
15. Be friendly to everyone (but do not overdo it).
16. Listen to some soothing music without disturbing your colleagues.
17. Take short breaks after continuous work; you should not do more than one hour of continuous work.
18. Tell your body to relax while working; it is about mind over body. Check if you are tense because you tend to use muscles that are not necessary in the course of work.
19. Learn to say 'no' if you have far too much to do already.
20. Have regular meals to avoid gastric problems and squeeze in some exercise no matter how short. For example, take the stairs instead of the lift.
21. Try not to bring work home.
22. Ensure that you drink enough fluids - water is best but not fizzy or alcoholic drinks.
23. Do not be overly preoccupied with promotion or competition.
24. Even if your work seems boring, look for positive aspects and enjoy working.
25. Give your best effort at work.

Psychologist Daniel Koh of Insights-Tse counselling clinic said: 'Find more sedentary and easy going things to do as exercise may vent frustration but may not mean you will be more relaxed.'
His other tips:
26. Breathing exercises. These can be done with your eyes open or closed and either sitting or lying down. Begin by placing your hand on your diaphragm and breathe in slowly and deeply.
When exhaling, imagine that you are breathing out all your tension and troubles.
Repeat until you feel calm and relaxed.
27. Imagery or visualisation. Start with the above breathing exercise but add on visualisation.
Imagine that you are walking in a forest or along a beach. Think about how you would feel and what you would see or hear. When you begin to feel relaxed, start focusing on your breathing.
28. Muscle relaxation. Again start with your breathing, then focus on the major muscle groups from head to toe. For example, clench your jaw and hold it for a few seconds then relax.
Repeat this a few times, then move on to your mouth (tense it up and relax), neck (tilt it upwards and backwards, hold and relax), shoulder (lift it up towards your neck), then arms, chest, abdomen, thighs, calves, toes and end with breathing. Breathing and muscle exercises slow down the pace of breathing which helps regulate the heart beat and relaxes the body.
They also take the mind off thoughts that are causing stress.

Psychiatrist Brian Yeo of Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre said: 'Some people relax better in a group while others are more comfortable relaxing alone.'
His other tips:
29. Take long walks or laze on a beach.
30. Join a line dancing class or start running. Both do not require a partner so they are easier to pick up.
31. If you are a spiritual person, go to an empty church or temple and have some quiet time for reflection. Meditate regularly; it enables you to calm down faster when it becomes a routine for your body. It also increases the flow of pleasure hormones and raises the threshold of stress a person can cope with.
32. Vegetate on the couch; the concept of relaxation seems to entail an activity but sometimes being a couch potato for a short time is not a bad thing.
33. Join a yoga or pilates class or do yoga at home with videos.
34. Go for a massage or facial.

Mr Stephen Lew, a psychotherapist from the Positive Psychology Centre, said: 'Do what you love daily. If you have yet to develop an interest, this could be the time of self-discovery to cultivate a new hobby which you get pleasure from.'
His other tips:
35. Sift through old photographs - an occasion that was full of fun could trigger joyous emotions locked in your memory.
36. Walk alongside trees in the Botanical Gardens or get yourself close to nature; this helps to soothe frazzled nerves.
37. Pick up a dusty phone book to touch base with old friends and chuckle away at the foolish things you used to do.
38. Take a siesta, or as they say, a power nap (20 minutes) to recharge.
39. Sit on a chair with your feet touching the floor and your back upright. Focus on anything or any sound for three minutes.
40. As you step into your home after a long day at work, just sit for 10 to15 minutes doing nothing. Do some deep breathing and reflect on the day's challenges.

fringe and freaked out

Just back not long from the Fringe Parade. It was much better than the aussie day parade but coz I joined LT's friends, ended up waiting here and there and not getting to reach early to see the parade at the front. It was sooo crowded and with loads of teenagers n pretty weird ppl so I left earlier but waited sooo long for the bus and chatted with a Dr who almost freaked me out at the bus stop..will talk abt it later..below are some photos...

Earlier on today went in Uni for a workshop by our lecturer who has a pte practice in a golf injury clinic. Quite cool...wondered why SG doesn't have (but realised after tt from LT tt ttsh actually has and is run by PTs!). Anyway coz there was also palpation of the shoulder muscles, it kinda reminded me of lhb's cls. And found out frm v tt they did not have any of such classes except once! Guess the undergrad program is kinda different! Though nyp's was tough, it really helped us a lot when we entered the workforce!

After tt went down LFL coz was scheduled to have our 1st trial of grocery shopping with one of our clients since her shopping day is fri afternoons and cooking will be on tue. We spent our time doing another set of our support strategy (ie. recipe book complete with shopping cards and healthier food choices booklet) coz we'll hv to do the trial separately on thurs. Then we got news that the client can't make it last min. So we kinda just travelled all the way to the agency just to make another set of the support strategy. Used the rest of the time (before meeting LT) to do my student eval...first time I give myself mostly 4s and 5s for midway! Hahaha..shall see how...
Had dinner at the Malaysian eatery with LT and Matt (LT's coursemate from Germany). Had beef dry hor fun which surprisingly tasted quite good..reminded me of char kuay teow minus the cockles, fishcake n lup cheong! But craved for water later on..think hv MSG!! ARGHS!

Still deciding whether to go for Phantom considering that they have student concession now..but still costs ard $105 plus service tax. Anyway, will be gg for the Fringe festival's Shakespeare A MidSummer Night's Dream play with LT and Matt the following fri. Hope it's worth the $!
Oh yes...abt the Dr who freaked me out. Coz I waited like 30-45min for the stupid bus at the bus stop, this Sri Lankan-born Dr currently working in RAH started chatting with me. Then found out tt his parents are Uni lecturers (in med sch) in SG...then he said he did his PhD in Sydney n only came here 2 mths ago. Then chatted abt what I'm studying n he showed me his RAH ID card saying "Dr Siva XXX". Then I asked if he works on shifts and he said he chose to work since he's single and has nothing on. Then he asked if I was single and straightaway said he's looking for someone to marry! Even told me what he has a house permanently here and intends to find someone to marry from SG! WAH BIANG! I was like "you can find in SG and sorry, I don't intend to stay here" Then he asked for my mobile no. and I lied lah..hahaha! I'll be crazy to give him my mobile no. Heng he stopped at earlier bus stop before me..I'll be totally freaked out if he were to follow me home! Came home and told K...she said he's prob v bright but lack social skills..just like 2 mins into getting to know people already say his intention of marrying?!?! But she said it's flattering...but I doubt so! Had similar experience with a foreign worker who was my pt when I was a student as well but that wasn't tt scary but more amusing. That's prob one reason why I stay away from certain people!!
*yi, how? u want me to find this kind of other half huh?? Hahahaha!*

pek chek

Feeling a bit pek chek now coz it's report writing time again. This means more friction between both of us coz somehow our writing styles and attitude to writing n stuff is quite different. Enjoyed the cooking sessions and home visits so far though... Feeling pek chek coz seems like someone's starting to get complacent and I've to edit so much of what she's supposed to do until I hardly have time to do my part! So it makes it seem like she's so efficient while I'm not. SIGH. Sianded. Anyway tmr have soft tissue management workshop in Uni till 12pm then prob gg LFL after that. Hoping to follow one of our clients for her shopping trip tmr afternoon so we can trial our recipe book, shopping cards and healthier food choices booklet. By the way, we created all these on Wed! I was so happy to see them! Showed them to Sue today actually coz we asked her abt proforma for report (which is not out yet) and she asked how we were doing. By her facial expression, seems like she's impressed too! BUT then again, how we're graded depends on how well our report is!

We are told to dress either in singlet/tanktop or similar for tmr's workshop coz we'll need to palpate scapula n posterior shoulder. Sounds so much like our palpation classes in NYP! Haha..quite looking forward to it. Have told V n Linda (coursemates) that I've winged scapula and they were quite excited to see...haha!

Today temp reached 38.7 deg and tmr forecast is 34deg. Oh ya, meeting my "morrie" and her friends as well for the fringe parade tmr evening. Prob meeting again on Sun for some shopping and go over to the girls' new place.

*ARGHS!* MSN me again to ask abt funding when we have documented everything before. HOW TO DO MY STUFF?!

weekend

Went to Pancake Kitchen with LT on Fri evening (after LT settled her broadband internet stuff). We had wanted to try the "Penang Delights" place opp uni but we couldn't find ANY Penang dishes in their menu! How strange! Realised here they tend to name it as they like? So anyway coz had wanted to go Pancake Kitchen with Sarah but last minute she wasn't well so didn't go in the end and I actually decided what to eat then (accessed their menu on their website). Anyway this place serves savoury and sweet pancakes and crepes. So we ordered a savoury and a sweet one to try. I must say their buttermilk pancakes are pretty good..soft, fluffy and fragrant.

German feast..doesn't it look like a breakfast meal?? Bet my bro wish he was here to slurp the egg yolks..

And this is brandied Apricot (the sweet pancakes)

By the time we finished was almost 9pm so the shops were closed...but we were trying to find somewhere to walk...but went to LT's hse after tt coz she wanted to drive her car (it's been a week since she last drove it!). And so we went for a spin...went around, saw some nights and crowded places in the city...and haha...we purposely drove through Hindley St (ADL's street full of pubs/clubs etc.). Before I came, many people told me to stay away from Hindley St especially at night and when I'm alone. And I haven't been there since I came actually..not even in the day! But anyway, so we drove through (with our car doors locked, of course)...and it was so crowded...an eye-opener for me! Hahaha! That's the plus point of having a car - can drive around! And petrol price has increased (nowdays it's between $1.22+ to $1.34+) but I realised it's still cheaper than SG!
Anyway, below are 2 photos of my church I took with my handphone some time back.

And finally, this is the collage of the food we have cooked/included in our recipe book for our PCP project!! Doesn't it look yummy??? I'm quite excited to see the final product by this Friday and later the very final one at the end of next month.

Yday went to Robern Menz factory (walked all the way there)..bought more apricot snacks...went to firle's Kmart and coles after tt. Almost bought a pair of black pumps which was gg for $9..haha..also dun really know why I didn't buy in the end. Maybe I'm hoping to get something I really really like..haha..Oh yes, called back SG to ah ma yday and realised that it was Jayden's 1st month celebrations! Also heard from ah ma that my cousin is 21yo this year!! I didn't realise lor! Makes me feel old..haha...heard tt she wanna have a chalet instead of just BBQ/gathering at a function rm.
Oh..and another thing to update abt my housing issue. As I may have mentioned before, K is in the midst of applying for jobs. And seems like there's not much vacancies in ADL itself, she is applying for those in country towns so if she gets the job there, she may be relocating. Then she told me her elder son, S, who's currently looking for a place to move to coz his current sharehouse will be undergoing renovations. So if she relocates, it's either S move into her room or be an external landlord and rent out the other room/s. I guess I've to be prepared of adapting to a "new" person staying again! Heard from K that S is more sociable that J...haha..but I told her I'm the quiet one. So anyway, see how it goes..I'm also not keen to move out and find another place. Have been v comfy here liao..hah! So guess hv to adapt n see how things go.

my week

So fast fri again...shall just update what I've been up to this week (majiam do my PCP weekly update report)
Before I start, just to "report"! I just finished making sweet potato dessert and my version of bubor cha cha!! Why the sudden interest in making these, you may ask. Coz I bought some sweet potato yday at Central Market (CM)! It was only going for 99cents/kg..and tt piece I bought was only 25 cents! The sweet potato dessert was easy to make n tastes nice though I used ginger powder instead of fresh ginger (didn't buy fresh ginger).
Sweet potato dessert
And since I had coconut cream that I wanna use up (coz it's been sitting in the cupboard for some time) and also my 1/4-or-less-used tapioca flour, thought of trying my hand at bubor cha cha. It was quite tedious making the tapioca jelly thingy...it's very interesting to see how the flour combines with the water..looked paste-y but it wasn't..don't really know how to describe it also..so turn out my "jellies" were of irregular shapes.

My version of bubor cha cha

So anyway, mon met with PCP tutor VERY briefly and kinda also left on our own to do stuff...only know what is expected of us at the end of it. Quite sad to hear that the "placement" will not be assessed..it's just an ungraded pass. What constitutes our grade for PCP this sem is our report!!! I'm a little worried abt that. I think I'm more of a do-er? Oh well...anyway, so the whole week was spent editing photographs of our cooking sessions and healthier food products. Now I'm compiling the photographs into reccipe book. Each time I look at it, I find myself a little hungry or maybe mouth gets itchy...but I'll be pleased at myself (or ourselves) coz of all the pictures. Quite looking forward to the final product!

Yesterday I wanted to go to the Drake (supermart) nearer my place to get the Natural Confectionery Co. gummies which were advertised at $1.69 (so far that's the cheapest price I've seen). But when I went to their website, saw that Findon's Drake was selling it at 99cents!! Their chicken breast fillets and safcol tuna were on offer too...so decided to go there instead (and coz I haven't been to that area). Was very happy coz I managed to get eggs, tuna (more for the road trip), breast fillets, packets of gummies and some meat ends (they caught my eye in the chiller and was tempted to get coz they were big pieces and I'll get to try the different meats)! Was very heavy though but still dropped by CM. Got some apricots, mango (coz it was only $1.20 each!), grapes and sweet potato. Can imagine how heavy my stuff was! Came home and made "steamed" egg with my homegrown tomatoes and meat ends...YUMS!

Meeting LT for dinner tonight...she seems to be my "Morrie" (as in "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom) only that we meet on fridays..haha!

Next week will be doing the printing and laminating of recipe book and healthier food products booklet so that we can test it out with clients the week after. It's already the 3rd week! Oh ya..yday got email from the postgrad lecturer who's the course (module) coordinator for a module I'm doing...asked how come I'm taking a postgrad module..haha!

Oh yes, have something to really thank God for! My withheld tax is refunded to me already!!! Kudos to the bank officer who opened the account for me...good that I also emailed her to ask her of the refund thingy coz I was already prepared to lodge a tax return. So now I know perhaps is see if the person is willing to help or not. But really thank God for her help!!

Weekend!

It's the weekends again! Finally! Haha..this week had been rather busy for me..majiam working..9-5pm...n doesn't help when it takes abt 1 to 1.5 hr to my agency by bus.

Met up LT for dinner (korean food) yesterday...decided to try the one Rach told me abt...we had seafood hotpot...which took sooo long to appear at our table...the seafood was not very fresh unfortunately but the soup base and side dishes were nicer than the other one at Chinatown. But after the meal, both of us craved for water like anything! Must be lots of MSG inside the broth..arghs! That's why I dislike eating out here too..and our udon noodle took ages to be served as well (after we actually ordered a bowl of rice to share!)

Seafood Hotpot: Crab, King Prawns, Mussels, Clams, Octopus, Tofu, Cabbage, Zucchini, Carrots Onions

Oh..earlier on I brought her to chinese grocery shop coz she wanted to buy Chrysathemum n stuff..then she was so excited to see all the Asian foodstuff..ended up with many bags coz she already was carrying her sch stuff. Bought grapes for $1.89/kg!! Woo hoo! And marked down roast chicken from woolies too..haha! Half chicken $2.50..hehe..tt shall be my dinner tonight. So anyway, accompanied her home so can help her carry stuff...shun bian see see her house..haha..really admire her coz she had to buy everything to furnish the apartment coz she rented an unfurnished one (according to her, works out to be cheaper than renting a fully furnished one). The apartment seems like a typical apartment I guess..similar to St Morris but much smaller. I prob will invite her over one day (of cuz with K's permission) so she can see what a typical Aust house is like?! Hahaha...oh..it was quite funny..coz I'm kinda used to wearing my shoes into my rm then taking them off then I forgot to remove my shoes at her place!! Haha! So paiseh lor..ha..oh well..anyway, heard the other 4 PT girls rented a place which is vvv cheap.

All coz I forgot my bag of grapes, I'm invited for her class's BBQ tmr pm...sounds fun but I'm not the sociable kind..haha..shall see how lah..and was thinking hard what to make coz last night then told me..n I'll probably make almond agar agar..hope it works without evaporated milk coz I dun feel like gg out today!

Haven't really planned our days for next week but scheduled to be editing photos n preparing the cookbook and healthier food choices booklet to be ready. Have meeting with PCP tutor (finally got her) on mon so Mon prob will be in uni for the whole day...

short update

Hadn't really had time to update coz have been at LFL from 9am to 5pm since mon..tmr starting an hr later...and we've been busy cooking, taking photographs and eating! My god! But all the food we cooked were yummy..haha..besides the lasagne..ha..but still edible! In the end, we just had 4 clients for our cooking sessions..so the rest of the dishes were and will be cooked by us...

Had quite a hard time during grocery shopping coz we had to weigh between healthier choices as well as budget. Spent 2hrs just buying abt $70+ worth of groceries. Tmr making more food. Great that we could share the food we cooked with the staff and get their feedback..all of them were so full at the end of the day..haha! Think our banana smoothie was the ultimate hit! Hahaha...

Realised this project is pretty fitted for me! Oh well..now is to clear our tutor's view of PCP. But haven't heard from her yet (she's not a full time tutor at uni). So see how lah..and our sups at LFL also either on leave or at the other agency...so pretty much self-directed. Had quite a good time..just that kinda missed chatting with my mum in the mornings..oh well...at least PCP was not as dreadful as I thought it would be coz my partner seems more enthu this sem!

Anyway, just heard from my ex-sup (who's also my colleague) that she'll be coming with the nhg recruitment team in mid march and asked if I could help with some planning and on those days as well. Quite happy to see familiar face again so keeping that Saturday (and maybe even that week nights/evenings) free for now. Have class on one of the days though. Shall work around it when I get more details.

Will prob be busy with cooking and phototaking sessions till the end of the week and next week prob will be editing of photographs and the computer work...so hopefully don't have to go LFL every day next week.

Oh yes, bro sent me photos of Jayden (my 2-week-old nephew)...my bro took really nice shots of him! Also took nice photos of the older bro, Jennsen too! He looks like he's getting naughtier and he seems to be a fast learner with the laptop!

Have been watching the news abt the bushfires in Victoria and NSW...it's really fortunate SA isn't affected. I'm staying pretty near the Hills so...ha...anyway it's been pretty cooling weather since Sunday with max less than 26deg! In the nights and early mornings think it was less than 20deg! Weekends will be warmer to max 30-33...but I guess it's not tt bad as the 40s!

Sunday

Back from church not too long ago. Had Homegroup Annual Luncheon...so lots of yummy food and SWEETS (read: cakes, puddings, fruits etc.). Yums...didn't feel v comfy with my so-called home group coz somehow I just dunno what to say I guess. Anyway they also meet once a mth so it's not tt much commitment. We had a good laugh abt the "contaminated" sausages tt dropped on the floor and was just placed back without any washing!!! I was quite surprised when they "disapprove" of it too coz I know ppl here can be quite unhygienic..Had the newly-elected ALC president as guest speaker at luncheon and a point about fewer young people are attending church these days.

This topic was what I discussed with LT and later on K as well just last week when LT visited my church which had majority of people aged above 60. I don't quite understand why this is happening...though it seems like more n more churches are sprouting up to cater to the young. Is it coz most young people attend more charismatic churches thus traditional, neighbourhood churches are "ageing"?

Anyway, this week shld be quite busy with phototaking n cooking sessions at LFL...hope all will go well...cooking herbal chicken soup tonight =)

God answers prayers!

Thanks to K's windows XP CD and bro's step by step instructions and patience, my laptop has miraculously revived!!! God truly works in mysterious ways and answers prayers!! He has been answering my prayers since I came here! Praise the Lord!

Today's home visit was quite fun...got teased by client n stuff...quite engaged as well. I seriously miss chatting with clients n stuff..though I admit, I'm not tt outgoing. Have been taking photos of healthier food choices for project and arranging for next week's cooking sessions...quite looking forward to it but hope it won't be too haphazard trying to take photos while assisting clients in cooking..haha..

Just now went to an old accident scene where our neighbour was involved in a car accident with quite some time ago. I was examining the impact and wow...just very thankful my neighbour is alright except for pains and aches now (tt's why she's claiming compensation). Imagine the front gate's pillar of the house was knocked down and the top portion of the pillar was thrown over a distance!

Watching Grey's Anatomy now...so happy that it's showing on tv now n it's 2 hours! Today's episode abt an army surgeon putting a ballpen into the victim's throat!
Tmr temp max 43deg and Sat 41 deg...sians..till now forecast says Sun will be 28 deg n next week is all less than 30deg too...hope it's really true...but tmr hv 2 home visits to go to n in between prob will go shopping centre to hide from the heat! Then prob meeting PT ex-colleagues for dinner..the other 4 will arrive tmr morning..

Laptop trouble

SIGH...can't get any unlucky man!!

My laptop couldn't start this morning!! ARGHS...currently as advised by bro, to try and borrow windows XP CD and do as I'm told...wah biang...damn suay leh...I guess the most heartbreaking thing is my photos...heng the KI photos are still in my SD card. And my project work n modules stuff all stored in my USB...n also tt I can use K's old laptop for the time being. The funny thing is mum asked if I backed up my laptop and I realised I was supposed to...that's the purpose of bro bringing the portable hard disk over yet I totally forgot abt it! GOSH....sigh...n sad tt no adobe either n I need for project lor...sighh

Anyway today I tried driving a car out of a stuck spot...neighbour opp the road..she drove n hit the wall where there was a tap. Didn't seem to be able to move it so K came and ask me if I know hw to operate auto car (somemore thought so cool can get to drive..haha). A mechanic near our place handled it in the end...

Home visit was quite alright except we seem to keep pestering him..haha..but managed to get some dishes he would want to try cooking next week. Hope it'll be successful...

Then anyway there's a red patch on my left elbow...dunno when i was bitten n by what also!! I just keep applying mopiko n tea tree oil lor..suay...arghsss!

Monday

Just had my yummy dinner...cooked myself lamb chops with boiled broccoli and carrot and sauteed brown mushrooms. YUMS. Simple meal..and packed 2 other in containers too so I don't have to cook the next few days..haha! The thing is here the food usually sold in bulk..so hv to portion it out. Esp now k usually eats her frozen meals, I've to cook for myself only.
I finshed my Sydney Opera House 1000pcs puzzle already...not bad rite?

Anyway tmr hv mtg at LFL and wed to fri hv all the home visits. Was checking out how to get there and was a bit pek chek...How I wish we hv a car! But renting one is out of the qns coz it's too ex...just hope someone will fetch us ard...this time not tt bad coz all are on diff days. See how lah...so tmr hv to discuss and decide our proj direction...a little dreading it but just hope April comes soon. I went in to my Critical Thinking and Reasoning module..considered online module since they only hv 3 workshops. The assignments are all there already..last one due on 15th June. Then I also saw there's a recommended text which they say is available in the lib but went to search catalogue, it's not there...dunno if anyone has...shall ask ard.
Not sure if I'll be homeless or just left alone in the hse coz K's sending applications to country as well. See how lah...hope the interview tmr will go well for her coz it's in ADL itself.

eventful day yday

Church service today was mostly sung so was quite an eyeopener..LT drove to the hills since we were early and wow...was amazed by the beautiful scenery. She thinks it's better than the scenery at Mt Lofty.

Anyway yesterday was rather happening..a can of coke exploded in the fridge coz the fridge was too cold. It caused coke to be splattered all over in the fridge and I had to spend time cleaning since k wasn't ard. Took pic of the fridge n coke can. Then in the evening, I wanted to switch on my room light when I heard a "POP" n sparks flew from one of my 3 ceiling lamps and all the lights in the hse went out. So K also used it to teach me to open fuse box..said in case she has to work in Whyalla..arghs! Anyway, it's coz of the bulb blow...so tripped the whole hse.

After church went to Ingle Farm which I realised tt I was there before coz Uncle J drove there to da bao subway before. Ate Yiros there then accompanied LT for some shopping...so happy coz I got cheap fresh brown mushrooms again! Been liking to cook them (coz I usually dun eat shitake mushroom if I can coz of the smell) since I bought to cook mushroom soup the other times. Had to stop by the Kmart near my place coz LT wanted to find shade for her car...and it was soooo cute! Meant to be hers lor...she also got new tops..haha..now I'm tempted to get one I saw at Kmart.
